Great source to test or practice reading comprehension, vocabulary, sequencing, predicting, setting, characters, you name it. Very easy reading--2nd gr. level--and easy to follow directions. I actually use them for my reading test on Fridays for my homeschooler, thats how much I like them.
Excellent for Students with Learning Disabilities

I am a special education teacher in public school and started using this book to teach reading to a third grader with severe dyslexia. She was a student who had come to hate reading instruction and was reluctant to read anything. This student has really enjoyed this book with its short stories and interesting material. I have used each story for repeat readings and then finished off with the questions and written work at the end of the week. It has been successful where nothing else has worked. I highly recommend it for students who have difficulty learning to read via phonics or other traditional methods.

This workbook is a wonderful aid to reading comprehension for any student at this level of learning. It includes stories and questions that draw out information that students need to be able to derive when learning these skills... If you are a homeschooler or just a tutor this is the book for your student... it is a wonderful homework resource for children struggling to improve their ability. I highly recommend it for all children.
