This McKettrick man is about to meet his match... There aren't enough hours in the day for everything divorced dad Tate McKettrick has to do: run the Silver Spur Ranch, do the suit-and-tie thing for his business and ride herd on his adorable six-year-old twin girls. But then Libby Remington returns to Blue River, Texas, and suddenly...time seems to stand still. They were high school sweethearts, Tate and Libby, but he was never able to convince Libby that he loved her. He still loves her and wants to try again. Nothing--not even cattle rustlers, a killer stallion and a vindictive ex-wife--can keep him from the attempt. Libby has her hands full taking care of her mother and running the Perk Up Coffee Shop. Caffeine, she needs. Tate McKettrick, not so much. Oh, heck--yes. But can they really hope for a second chance?
Tate, Well what can you say - if men of Texas are like this man was presented they should bottle it and sell it through out the universe. It was a gorgeous book with the usual story line but it had was a feel good story and I liked it. Ms Millers books are easy to read and always have that warm and fuzzy feeling by the last page, even when there are ratbags (Scoundrels) in the story. Thank you, bring on the next brother. I didn't find this book boring at all, as some other reviewers did. Someone on another site described it as 'mellow' and I think that best describes it for me as well. I liked the characters, and found there was more depth to them than I originally thought there would be. I haven't read a lot of Miller's books, so I can't really speak to the criticism that this seems to be a rehash of earlier books. For me, it was an easy, 'mellow' read that I completely enjoyed. I will definitely be looking for the next book in the series.

I thought this book was fantastic. The characters were well developed. I loved the 6 year old twins. Tate was a great dad with them. the story just wove together so well, with the sub-plots, and the romance, and the hot stuff (there was some good hot stuff!). Really, really great novel. Great writing. Makes me want to go back and re-read McKettrick's Pride. I can't wait for Garrett, and Austin.
This book was good but not excellant!!
