Stroll baby, glide baby, go for a ride, baby. Me baby, you baby, visit the zoo, baby. Babies. Other babies. Animals and their babies! In energetic verses that capture both a mother’s joy and a baby’s, two mothers and their toddlers head off to see the sights at the zoo. These include many different animal babies, beautifully illustrated and cleverly described in the story’s rhyming style. Tall baby, small baby, comes-when-she’s-called baby. Warm baby, cold baby, tucked-in-a-fold baby . . . After a snack and a sleepy ride home, Dad takes over. The whole luscious book sings with the togetherness and identification between parent, child, and world.
Our 1 year old daughter just LOVES this book when we read it to her. And during the day at play on her own, she just starts saying and repeating, "Me baby you baby" while playing with her toys. =) Beautifully illustrated and written! A must have for your child's library!

The alliteration in this book is captivating. It's a beautiful and soothing read and always ends with a warm hug with our children. It is a great nighttime book before bed. My 2 year old and 5 year old love it. We keep a stack at home as it has become our standard gift to newborns and up to age two. We also live in San Francisco, which makes it all the more fun to read and gift!
Very cute

My husband bought this book for me because we're adopting a baby soon. We love that it incorporates both human and animal parent and baby relationships through a visit to the zoo. It's mostly mother-focused, but the father does make a nice appearance at the end. We also appreciated the ethnic diversity in the book, especially since the child we're adopting will be darker-skinned than we are. Overall a lovely little book!
My two yr old loves this book!

Lovely story with engaging rhyming verse and nicely done illustrations (though why oh why does the white baby lack a sun hat or awning on her stroller!?). This is a pleasant story which is enjoyable for both parents & tots. A nice gift, or addition to any home library.
