the Internet is not enough

I thought you could find just about everything from the Internet and Google, however, that's not true. In the Internet search, with many abbreviations that use common letters, you will get lots and lots of false matches, and you would have to sift through them, wasting time, and perhaps even choosing the wrong one. This book lists all the matches, and you can easily see which is the match that applies to you.

I just started as a medical coder and this book has been very helpful. Doctors use many abbreviations and it helps to have a reliable source to use to figure out the abbrevaitions.

This is my third updated edition of this book. It is incredibly helpful when trying to decipher medical abbreviations. It has tripled in size in the 10 years I have been referencing it. The editors have tried to keep up with all the changes in the medical field and they have done an admirable job. A must have for any medical/nursing student and anyone else remotely related to heath care.
