Meditation is an adventure, the greatest adventure the human mind can undertake. Meditation is just to be, not doing anything--no action, no thought, no emotion. You just are and it is a sheer delight. From where does this delight come when you are not doing anything? It comes from nowhere, or it comes from everywhere. It is uncaused, because existence is made of the stuff called joy!
Meditation is not an Indian method; it is not simply a technique. You cannot learn it. It is a growth: a growth of your total living, out of your total living. Meditation is not something that can be added to you as you are. It cannot be added to you; it can only come to you through a basic transformation, a mutation. It is a flowering, a growth. Growth is always from the total' it is not an addition. Just like love, it cannot be added to you.
a few weeks ago i just happened to be looking for a book to tell me something about meditation. this was the first one i grabbed off the shelf, and the moment i started to read the back cover i could feel this was the one for me. osho presents methods that are imediately inpacting and easy to understand. he speaks in a language of feeling that everyone can understand. i'm still shocked that whenever i read through a few sentences in this book i'll find myself getting tears in my eyes because i know this is what it's all about. finally acknowledgement. finally appreciation. and it turns out we had it all along

Its hard to utter words about the significance of this book. It is a diamond in an ocean of mud. It is the key to life, if this was a high scool requirenment, the world would be a paradise. No doubt Osho knows what he is talking about, and if it is meditation one in seeking, then this is the book!
Down-to-earth and practical, a refreshing change.

So many books on meditation seem so serious, or one-dimensional, pitching a specific point of view or practice that feels like it was designed for saints who don't need meditation in the first place. This one even tells you how to turn smoking into a meditation! A book for "real folks" who want to bring more joy into all aspects of their lives.

I was one of the people who didn't consider themselfs as a spiritual or meditative person. When I got this book a s birthday present I could not stop reading for a moment. There are also beautifull music CD's in the market which help to do these active meditations. A must for every meditator.
Few book titles so accurately reflect the contents.

This book is perhaps the best introduction to meditation on the market. It takes meditation out the area of religion and all the doo doo associated with it, and puts it right at the center of a science of the inner, exactly where it belongs. For the intelligent individual who doesn't want to be lumbered with yet another belief system, this is their book.
