Annie, a child approximately 4-6 years, is feeling the pangs of moving to a new house. Her mother provides comforting words and...a new friend. When Annie opens her closet door, out comes the famous Raggedy Ann doll. The girl's mother says that the doll knew she needed a friend and with a little repair work from her sewing basket, Raggedy will be good to go. A few stitches here and there and some added yarn hair for braids, and the New Raggedy Ann is set for a new adventure in a new house. Annie, delighted with her transformed doll, runs outside where she sees other girls playing with dolls who....look like their owners. A sweet story, really and the illustrations are delightful.
