A true feast for nearly all the senses, this book combines delicious recipes with equally wonderful photos and illustrations, as well as something you don't often find in a cookbook: a CD with more... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I purchased this book in 1996 and have used the recipes again and again over the years. If you are looking for a book of traditional American Christmas recipes this is not the one. If you have ever travelled much in Europe you probably have had or at least seen some of the recipes. Over the years I have tried almost all of the dishes and have not been disappointed. If you are a meat and potatoes person this book will be a waste of time and money, but if you are interested in truly fine European recipes this is the book for you. The CD is like frosting on the cake.
Music is wonderful!

The recipes are definitely European---and if you like to experiment with cooking, than this is the book for you! The music is the best thing about this book---very beautiful and spiritual. It is one of my favorites. I even had someone ask me where I got this music. If you don't like to cook, but like classic christmas music--you'll like this.
