Message from a Mistress

I have read ALL of Niobia Bryant's work - this latest story does not disappoint! Four upsacle wives are friends with secrets - a text goes out to three of the wives - one of the four has slept with one of the husbands - process of elimination makes three husbands a possibility and the stories around these three wives makes this book provocative and suspenseful! EXCELLENT

Okay....this book was a really great read. I fought with myself trying not to skip to end to find out what was going to happen almost the entire book so needless to say I read it in one day not wanting to put it down until I did. Jessa Bell(Nice play on words with the name Ms.Bryant) was a mess. The infamous text claiming that she was sleeping with one of her BFF's husbands and of his plans to leave them and be with her, had the entire group questioning the stability of their marriages and being honest with themselves about some secrets that could ruin their lives. Jamie and Eric's marriage was decent until a voicemail turned it into something extremely dark and painful. Renee-the housewife turned career woman questioned whether her husband Jackson had finally had enough and Aria wondered if the on going competition between her and her BFF Jessa would be enough to make her husband Kingston stray or if his finding out about her not so savory childhood secrets would be the end of her marriage. This was a roller coaster ride as each woman fought their own demons and insecurities hoping and praying that it wasn't their husband who had decided to leave. This book was definitely a page turner...I recommend this book to everyone who is a fan of this genre. I anxiously await the sequel and return of Miss Jessa Bell...hopefully Ms. Bryant will listen to the pleas of her fans and not keep us waiting too long.

This book was excellent. It's filled with suspense, drama, sex, lies, betrayal & twists! I loved it! This was definitely a refreshing twist to a book. Loved the storyline. I stayed up for hours trying to figure out who the mystery man was. Talk about a cliff hanger! I am eagerly awaiting the sequel to this book. I hope we don't have to wait too long. Job well done Niobia!

Nobia Bryant Message from a Mistress was a wonderful book. The main character are off the chain Jaime, Renee, Aria, and Jessa. Jaime Miss Perfect who tried to hard to keep a marriage that wasn't worth it. Renee Miss Career Woman, who forgot to that a man is suppose to be the head of the house and missed all the clues. Aria the young ghetto girl who got the degree and fit in with the boghetto crowd. Jessa or Jezbell as the women called her played the role very close to the chest. The book was well written I can't wait until the sequel come out.

Message From a Mistress is a delight; it's a realistic and engaging novel about four wives who must determine which of their spouses is having an affair with one of their friends. Niobia presented a diverse cast of characters (it takes talent to be able to do that, believe me), and takes us on an adventure that provides insight into marital relationships and the heartbreak they sometimes bring. We're left on the edge on our seat until the very end. Readers who enjoy sassy, contemporary women's fiction may want to add this one to their reading list. Bravo!
