Microsoft Macro Assembler 6.1 Programming

My book (ISBN: 0-8306-4060-6) is probably the same book. Pay attention to the book description above because that is what you will get. If you know this material already then you don't need this book. Consider this: If you enjoy assembler then you should study the MASM macros, flow control and calling methods because (1) MASM is free from Microsoft. (2) There are tons of programmers writing Win32's in the flat memory model and are making their efforts and tutorials freely available on the internet. Do a search on MASM32 and see just how savvy these programmers are. ------ You may not be ready for Win32's yet, and that is why this book is good for you. You will learn a lot of helpful prog. techniques from this book. Some of it is 16-bit small model and other examples are large model. They show you how to control both libraries, and what libraries are. Understanding the syntax of the language is what you are after. Don't try to learn it all in one day, even though you can move fairly quickly through this book.After you become aquainted with MASM'S features you can quickly move to 32-bit flat model Win32's but be warned: You will be calling the Windows API in a low level fashion and that is a world of study in and of itself. I'm sure you are looking for a challenge though, or you wouldn't be into programming!
