Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters and they way the author wove the history of the area into his story. I would definitely recommend it!!

The characters in the story seemed authentic to me and I quickly began to care about them. The plot moved well, but it was the characters, particularly the female characters, that kept me very engaged in this story, a very emotional story about overcoming challenges.
