Max Brooks the son of Mel Brooks yes that Mel Brooks, is an incredible writer. I have his zombie survival guide, and his World war Z, and have read both of those books, so I knew he could write. This book is not a disappointment. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like but I have had it in my possession for 2 days and I'm halfway through. So it is a really good book. It is well written from the perspective of somebody who shows up in the Minecraft world not knowing what the hell is going on. And I got to say it's enjoyable refreshing interesting I just keep picking it up. I will definitely be buying the other book even though it's literally twice the price. It's a good read.
Fun book for all ages (even if you don't know the game)

I read this with my 9 year old son, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. He plays Minecraft with his dad so he would call out what the monsters were and would make predicitions of what would happen during the story. I was surprised at how funny the book was in some spots; it was cleverly written. There were some references to vegetarianism, and the main character committed to not killing for meat. There isn't anything villianizing people who do eat meat, so I
