I had to laugh when one reviewer mentioned that her copy of this cookbook was "worn to a frazzle"! That describes mine to a "T"! I have a paperback version and each page is now loose and just tucked in there...sometimes out of order, but in there nonetheless. It's the cookbook I reach for when I want an authentic and excellent recipe for all those wonderful ethnic dishes. Almost every recipe you can think of is in there...

I was very pleased to see recipes from all sides of my heritage (English, Norwegian, Croatian, and German). This book possesses recipes that my family has used for years along with new variations. I was thrilled to receive this gift from my mother. It's nice to see that as my generation grows older we can still utilize the cooking ideas of years past.
