I really like this book, for is full of facts instead of words, especially it lacks the usual ranting of the so-called "experts"; what you find inside is a neatly arranged sequence of aircraft (fixed and rotary wing) new and old, wonderfully showed in their cutaway views and with full specs. To see something similar you must buy the Jane's All the World's Aircraft but - trust me - it's not worth the price you'll pay for it. I give this book 4 stars out of 5 only because of its "strange arrangement" regarding the classifying of the various aircraft types. What I'm trying to explain is that I found questionable the positioning of some kind of aircraft in the various sections labeled attack, fighters, bombers, naval, reconnaissance, helicopters, transports & tankers. For example, I always knew that the Republic F-105 Thunderchief was a fighter-bomber while the F-86 Sabre was an air superiority fighter... well you can find the Sabre under the "attack aircraft chapter" and the Thunder under "fighters"... and they're not the only example as you can find the Dassault Mirage 2000 (an interceptor/air superiority craft in the French Armeé de l'Air) listed as an attack craft, while the light bomber Sukhoi Su-17/22 is showed in the "fighters" section of the book. This said, the only other criticism (but a very minor one) is the lack of such mainstay as the F/A-18 Hornet or the venerable MiG-15 but you can't really expect to have the full range of the modern aircrafts in a 250 pages book. If you're looking for a serious book with a lot of data and some beautifully rendered technical drawings (and a lot of very good pictures, all in colors) this is the one for you and it came pretty cheap also...
