Joe Montana, football's greatest quarterback, relives his triumphs and his challenges, revealing what happened inside the huddle and inside his head. More than 140 magnificent photographs illustrate the magical moments and spectacular life of this legendary sports hero, up-close both on and off the gridiron, including photographs shot exclusively for this book that capture a Montana rarely seen -- at home and at play, with his family. Includes introduction by Dick Schaap and a statistical appendix. Oversized, printed on extra-heavy coated stock.
This was a very well done book on, to this day, the greatest quarterback ever to play pro football. The pictures were excellent and the text was very revealing into both Montana the man as well as Joe the player.
Great pics, simple recollections

Joe Montana - the best there ever was. He was the consumate winner. One doesn't need to know his stats or records when he's got a 1.000 winning percentage in the Super Bowl, and the only player to be named Super Bowl MVP three times. It's true that this book doesn't have in-depth introspective recollections in it. But if you know anything about the Comeback Kid you'll be amazed there's this much coming from the guy who doesn't like to dwell on the past. He certainly provides important details regarding the highlites and decisions of his career, from high school to Notre Dame to the 49ers and finally the Kansas City Chiefs where he proved he had more football to play. The color photography is great, and with the generous size of the book, the full-page depictions of Joe in action alone are worth the cover price to any fan of this living legend.
It was good.

This book was pretty good, and it had a lot of good pictures in it, but I thought that it could have been more detailed. I mean, this is THE Joe Montana and I think that there is a lot more to his life than mentioned in this book. However, that's the only bad thing about it and I would really recommend this.
