The name, Moon Over My Shoulder, dropped softly into my spirit and a knowing permeated my soul. I knew that it was special before I knew it was a book. It is the culmination of forty years of calling on my life to use the words my Heavenly Father has given me to encourage, teach, and lift up the broken-hearted; by guiding them to the feet of the One who can mend their hearts and give them the answers to life's questions, I am placing you in the care of Jesus.

Each day of the year (365 day devotional) will reveal a story in modern day parable, some with humor, others with unexpected insights, plus a passage of related Scripture. From a hummingbird in a teacup to the wild ride in a bumper car, from capturing a universe on film to walking a rope bridge high above a mountain gorge, each day is a fascinating application to real life. You will grow to know our Heavenly Father through each one and I pray that your trust and faith will prosper as you grow in your relationship with Him.

This book was not written because I aspired to write a book; it was written because I could not escape God's calling to write it. It was written to draw His children into a closer relationship with our Creator and to know Him as He wishes to communicate with us, intimately.
