When his mother is too busy to play with him, Rafferty Fox sets off to find a new mother, but though others are fun sometimes, he decides that he likes his own mother the best. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Engaging text with a great message for children. Probably every child has, at one time or another, felt that his parents are just not as cool as those of another. Following a "the grass is always greener..." theme the author takes the reader on a journey through the eyes of Rafferty Fox. Fortunately the theme of "there's no place like home" wins in the end. Well illustrated. I recently met the author at a teaching conference. She is an enthusiastic speaker/teacher/writer/parent who has a wonderful ability to incorporate all the elements needed in a good piece of children's fiction. Don't miss this one.
You'll want to be a "Moon Sandwich Mom", too!

This is a wonderful children's book that moms will love, too. It brought a tear to my eye and made me realize again how much the small things we do for our children, like cutting a sandwich into a moon shape, really matter to them. This would make a great Mother's Day gift if wrapped in a basket with a moon-shaped cookie cutter!
