This book is delightful and clever, as are all of the books in this series by Margie Palatini. My 6 year old checked out Bedhead (same author) from his school library and after reading it together, we promptly visited our public library and checked out ALL of the Palatini books they had. Th "Moose" books are our faves- the language is clever and flows well. The author's play on words and makes them interesting and enjoyable and the artwork is amazing, as well! You can't go wrong with these books!

Mooseketos is a clever little read-aloud book that early readers will adore. Moose arranges a family reunion, but each family member has ideas and interests of his own. It's the hilarious attack of mooseketos that makes all the family members pitch in together to make the world's biggest mooseketo net that brings everyone together and happy at last! Very cute!

If you are going to read this one to your kids, it will take a few practice runs. Once you have the story down, it will flow off of your tongue. What a cute story -- Moose just wants to have some family together time -- a perfectly perfect family reunion. He goes to great lengths to create the ideal setting, but everyone wants to do their own thing. So much like a real family reunion! Moose finally gets his wish in the end -- everyone together. Great illustrations, creative writing, lots of fun.
