Great Little book! We keep ours in the car for days when we are just out driving. I did not realize there are so many little out of the way places to go and see and I have lived here all my life. I have been to the bigger attractions mentioned but it's the small out of the way places that make these books handy. We have Books 1 & 2 and will definetly get the others. AND I bought the used ones (one for .75) it's like new. I actually paid more for shipping then the 2 books. Which was kinda of crazy.
Great for both the newcomer and lifelong Florida resident!

I purchased this book shortly after my then-boyfriend (now husband) moved to Florida from Canada, just to present him with some ideas of interesting, non-traditional destinations we could visit. At the time, I was twenty-six, and being born and raised in Central Florida I assumed the book would be filled with minor attractions I was already familiar with. I am happy to report that I couldn't have been more wrong! There were destinations that, while less than an hour's drive from where I lived, I had NEVER heard of - for instance, I had no idea there was a dude ranch so nearby, or that just a few towns over, there was a house that looked like a castle and was made entirely of old newspaper printing plates! I grew up watching Channel 13 (who remembers when 13 was a CBS station before it was purchased by Fox?), and I have to hand it to them - they have managed to find some really cool places that most of us natives would never think to look for and would probably have never found on our own!
