The book is based on the true story of a wild cat that lived in the Kennedy Center in the 1970s. Named Mosby by the center staff because he would disappear like the "grey ghost," he roamed the vents... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This intriguing story of Mosby the cat is indeed a true story. I used to ride horses with the author, Beppie Noyes and got the story first hand. She is a wonderful lady that is full of stories, fact and fiction. This book is written as only Beppie could, in a style that will appeal to young and old. I am ordering a copy for an elderly friend of mine that has just lost their cat. It's really a terrific book, just like Beppie.
A delightful tale that happens to be true!

Mosby is a grey cat who grew up in the attic of the Kennedy Center. Always more independent than his brothers and sisters, Mosby didn't follow his family for a scrumptious evacuation meal outside the walls of the building. When his family tried to return to their home in the partially completed building, it was too late. Walls had gone up, cutting off their access in, and Mosby's out. Follow Mosby's adventures in Washington D.C.'s famous performing arts center. Mosby made friends with one particular worker, scampered around the attic crawl spaces, and enjoyed the opera from the best seat in the ceiling. A delightful tale that happens to be true!
