I have found Ellen Gunderson Traylor to be a gifted writer that has researched the facts without altering the Word of God. Her writing style moves one to experiencing the characters emotions, visualising the events, places, etc. The follow-up called "Joshua: God's warrior" is an absolute must as the story of Moses only ends in the middle of this book. I have read anther book of hers called "Jonah" and have found it a real good read too. In all 3 books I have been fortunate to read and own, I can with confidence say that I have walked away encouraged, hope, insight and further understandings of the way God dealt with people and will deal with me also.

Ellen Gunderson Traylor is a powerful writer of Biblical fiction, maintaining historical and Biblical accuracy while weaving in the emotions of each character. This story of Moses is touching and inspiring, shedding new light on what Moses must have felt when exiled. The theme of the book, besides being fantastically informational historically, is that God can shape any person into a man or woman of God, no matter what occurred in the past.Definitely recommended reading!
