Rose Jones was born in a small town in Switzerland in 1929. She attended nursing school in Bern then went to Florence, Italy and studied at the Accademia Di Belle Arti. She briefly resided in England and France to learn their languages. In 1960, she immigrated to the United States and attended the Arts Institute in Chicago as she worked as a nurse. She married and while raising her family she continued studing art and began writing children's books and poetry. Her poems have been published in magazines and poetry collections.
