Alden Groves was a very superstitious man. From a young age he grew accustomed to never walking under ladders, stepping on any sidewalk cracks, or fighting with nefarious black cats. His superstitious beliefs carried into adulthood where he was then known in his own neighborhood, and around town, as a strange character. The only thing he had left in his life, that was not a mystery, was his dying mother who loved him very much, and was now living in a retirement home... He did not have much left going for him, until one day his luck finally changed... And as we all know, with good fortune comes great responsibility. However, was it too late to save a good man who did not believe in working on Sundays, or opening his umbrella indoors? Or would he succumb to the outrageous rumors surrounding his silly superstitious beliefs? And be forever branded as one of the craziest characters the city of Vancouver, BC had ever produced? O.A.
