Come along for one heck of a wild ride as Brian Reed joins forces with penciler extraordinaire Robert De La Torre for an action-packed adventure that includes special guest-stars Captain America and Jessica Jones.
I just started reading comics, and Ms. Marvel is really great! I loved reading Ms. Marvel, Vol. 1. If you want to read about a female superhero then I highly suggest you start reading Ms. Marvel. You won't be dissapointed.
An enjoyable (if imperfect) read

I find that I both agree and disagree with some of the other reviewers of this book. First of all, I will say that the art is excellent, and some great visual devices are employed. I liked several of the page layouts as well--they caught the eye and conveyed the story in a very fluid way. The writing is, by and large, quite good. I found that there were several surprising moments when I thought the writer had disappointed me, but then surprised me by turning it around. The most common complaint I've read is that Ms. Marvel herself is a bit too self-doubting and sometimes misplaces her concern. I think this is a valid concern, but at the same time I feel that this is a question of style and preference. I liked the concept of a good super-hero trying to become a great super-hero. I personally felt like her self-doubt makes her interesting and gives a lot of room for character depth and development. If you prefer your super-heroes to be strong and confident at all times, then you might not like this aspect of her storyline here, but I found it very enjoyable. My only disappointment was the end of the book. I felt that in the final two chapters the story got a bit confusing. Certainly some things could have been made a little clearer. All in all, however, it's a good introduction to her new storyline with wonderful art. I felt the book was well worth the price.

I never knew too much about Ms. Marvel so I didn't really know what to expect. After reading this book I now know her personality a whole lot better. The author does a good job of filling you in on her mental state of mind, but lacks on delving into the recent past,(House of M) which I personally do not know too much about. Even so, I really enjoyed this book and am now a Ms. Marvel fan.
