If you are looking for a how-to Better Homes and Gardens or Martha Stewart book this is NOT for you. If you want to be inspired by artistic creativity then buy this book with an open mind. Obviously the last reviewer has no sense of personal style and needs simplistic step-by-step books to tell her how to decorate. 1. If you are looking for a book to shelve next to your Jane Austen collection this is not for you. 2. If you do not have a sense of humor this is not for you. 3. If your idea of decorating consists of flowery doilies and antique dolls this is not for you. 4. If your perfect party has tupperware this is not for you. This is a book of highly creative individuals' homes, including stylish rock icon Lenny Kravitz. Buy it to be inspired by whimsical details and to appreciate other personal opinions of art. This is a wonderful and fascinating study of eclectic styles.
