Babies/Toddlers Respond Sweetly to These Books

Both of my girls started loving these books (My Mom, My Dad) as early as 10 months and asked for them by name. They love the pictures of real people and the simple words. They seem to engender sweet feelings in them toward Mom and Dad as we read them. My youngest is almost 2 and she still asks for theses books.

I checked this book out of the library several times. my 16 month old daughter insists that i read it to her, i think it is her favorite. i'm not fluent in spanish and some of the sentences sound funny to me, like "a mi me gusta ayudar a mi papa cuando va de compras". i was hoping i could hang with preschool level spanish but apparently not. the pictures are dorky and outdated but there are several ethnicities represented. it reminds me of old sesame street.
Our 14-month old loves this book!

Our toddler loves this book and we read it multiple times each day. The photos show a multicultural array of fathers and children doing a variety of different activities. It's a board book, written for a very young audience; I'm not claiming it's Shakespeare! But it and it's companion, "My Mom", make a nice addition to a baby's library.
