Our 16 month old son LOVES dogs so his grandmother bought him this book. It is definately one of his favorites. There are pictures of all different types of dogs and a "touch and feel" section with every turn of the page. We have had to make up our own story to go along with the first and second to last page because they are a bit long for a child our age(one short sentence is his limit). All in all this is a great book to read with a child, even if you do have to cut some of the narrative a little short.
