Vickie Weaver always referred to her sons as "My Husbands in Training." She told her boys, assuming they get married, they would be living with their wives much longer than with her. Therefore, she figured it was her duty to be training them to live happily with their future wives. So began her quest to raise honest, responsible, self-motivated, fun, and godly men. Within one year of graduating from ASU (Arizona State University), with a degree in Business Administration, she got married, and had a baby. After being a stay-at-home mom for 20 years, she taught as a substitute teacher, and then became an office manager for a startup charter school. In her years of teaching, copious note-taking, and raising four boys, including her quadriplegic son, she has compiled a wealth of stories that will make you laugh, cry, and contemplate. Here is a compilation of how the challenges and joys of life are each a learning experience. In over ten years of interviewing women for her church's newsletter, she truly believes "everyone has a story." She hopes hers will encourage others in their journey.
