Great Cultural History of North Carolina's Cherokees

He recorded their myths, legends and language for posterity. A teenaged Cherokee in North Carolina told me they use this book today in their classes. He said it was an inspiring reference, and I agree. Fascinating; the "real thing." And Mooney's life was also very interesting. There is a separate biography of that "The Indian Man."
