As a fifth grade teacher of Canada and Latin America I have been searching for great books about Canada to share with my students. On our field trip to Fort George, I came across this book and wished that I had it when I taught my class about the Native peoples of Canada. This book not only covers the required information, but includes other information for students in regards to what life was life for the Indian peoples. A great addition, besides the illustrations, are simple hand-on activities that do not require you to find materials that are not already in your classroom.
