Abel is a member of the Nephilm - a gender-changing race. Although cursed to kill Guy because he saw her true form, his kindness shines through, and she falls in love. Unfortunately, a tragic accident... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Though not as good as the first book - the second definitely leaves you with the urge to scream. There was no doubt that Abel would eventually find Guy, but when she does things seemed to have changed. Specifically with Guy, you can tell he still loves her from how possessive he is of her, but at the same time, he's not acting like himself. - and by the end of the book we know why. Being the son of the king's mistress, Guy must still be considered as a Prince and with that title comes some possibly 'unwanted' responsibilities - like having to marry who you are told to marry. In Guy's case, with Abel being a Nephilim, he would not be allowed to marry her as he would like to. Instead, as Abel learns in the end, his intended is both, his second in command and own medical doctor. And due to the fact that it was his doctor who found him and healed him after the tower fell on him in the first book - he feels indebted to her and is torn between his love for Abel and his loyalty to his doctor.
