An introduction to neurology for non-specialists, this text covers all disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems, offers clear guidance on diagnosis and treatment and indicates when a problem should be referred to a specialist. Each chapter includes extensive case studies and a questions and discussion section. This edition's coverage of the diagnostic workup includes a new chapter on neurologic signs and symptoms. A chapter on neurorehabilitation is also included.
The book is more than I had hoped for and the condition of the book was better than was listed.

Nice book that means just what it says. An excellent first chapter on the neuro exam. A good overview of neurological diagnostics. Then a very readable review of coma, CVD, headache, epilepsy, MS, Parkinson's, peripheral neuropathy, vertigo, behavioral neuro, AD, etc. A nice chapter on the neurotoxic effects of non-neurological drugs. And more. Complete, but as stated, not written for a neurologist. Nice.
