Just purchased a weekend home in the Adirondack mountains and starting a new garden soon-a beginning gardener. Ralph Snodsmith is insightful, and the selection of flowers, shrubs, and trees is judicious. This is the book I reach for when I need good advice. A short book but every page is well-written and a useful reference. I love this book!
New York Gardener's Guide

This is a wonderful book for New Yorker's! I am an avid hobby gardener, and of the many books and magazine subscriptions I have had over the past few years, this book has been the most informative and helpful! It is easy to read and understand! The symbols that are used to help with identifying positives, negatives, and care of plants is just great! From offering advice on the appropriate plants to select and the care and recommendations for feeding, trimming, and dividing plants after they have grown is extremely helpful!
