There isnt many books about this breed, we purchased a couple and this is the best one, has a lot of information on the breed and is not so "dog template book" like as many other are, although it has some. I wish it would talk more about the chewing needs of elkhounds, which really is pretty extensive and not emphasized so much in this book. It has its errors, I happen to be norwegian so I know a few things about it - e.g. the literal transaltion of the norwegian name is "Moose Dog" (ElgHund), which someone back in the 1800's wrongfully translated to elkhound... overall a recommended book.
