Book Overview

A revised edition of this internationally bestselling selection of Nostradamus's most relevant prophecies, updated to include brand new author commentaries on the prophecies that have come to pass since first publication. Nostradamus is widely known as the greatest diviner and visionary who ever lived. In the whole of publishing history, only the Bible has sold more copies than his prophecies, which have been in print since his death on 1 July 1556 - an event he accurately foretold the night before it happened. Using a revolutionary new analysis of the secret dating of Nostradamus's prophecies, in this, The Complete Prophecies for The Future , Mario Reading reveals startling new interpretations. Is the demise of the British monarchy inevitable? Will Britain leave the EU after all - and will this spell the end of the EU project as a whole? Will there be a Global War - and, if so, what will this mean for the world's climate? Nostradamus predicted the Twin Towers disaster of 9/11, the 2003 Iraq War, the devastating tsunamis of 2004/5 and the great flood of New Orleans - and he foretold the future for decades to come. Thanks to Mario Reading's groundbreaking translations and sharp, knowledgable commentaries, readers can now scan the future history of the 21st century - before it happens.

Index number not a year as Mario claims.

Nostradamus rarely gave dates to his quatrains, but there are a few. A comet appears at the end of the Millenium--Halebop 1997 would have Index value 97--it doesn't. Or Fire from the Sky, 911 2001 attack would have Index value 01--it does't!!! Fraudulent claim.

Very Pleased!

I was very pleased with the condition of the book and the speed it was delivered in.

Authoritative translation of Nostradamus' texts

Everyone seems to know at least something about Nostradamus' prophecies, although this knowledge is often hazy, frequently second-hand and never fully based on the evidence. Mario Reading has done us all a favour by re-examining the original texts and offering what must surely rank as one, if not the, authoritative translation. To begin with, he provides a short biographical sketch of Nostradamus' life and times, which not only establishes Nostradamus' place in society but also firmly helps to dispel some of the myths about his person. We then turn to the prophecies. The original French text is provided alongside the new English translation. This serves to show not only the frequently puzzling ambiguity of the original text, but also the care that has gone into providing an authoritative translation. By using a new technique that is often alluded to, but obviously never fully disclosed, the author is able to draw out references and meaning between -- as much as within -- the prophecies. By providing a new, authoritative translation of Nostradamus' complete prophecies of the future, Mario Reading has cut through the thicket of much of the more speculative Nostradamus industry that is out there. I am certain that one of the prophecies, as yet undiscovered (or falsely translated), will in future admonish us all to read only this book about the prophecies of Nostradamus.
