Unconventional horse book that tells the real story of a life filled with equine-mania. It's a collection of columns by an English writer and novelist about the foibles of such things as hunting, driving, horse maintenanc, showing, balancing family life with one's horse love and more. Unless you're a natural born rider and even then, it will make you smile and even howl in places. Tells it like it is.

This book is a witty collection of disasters that any one who has ever worked with horses will relate to - short chapters about different events make it easy to pick up and read in a spare moment. It is a well-written account of the author's life in the saddle, full of laughs and incidences that will have happened to many riders. Humorous pictures decorate the pages. A good read for any one cursed (like myself) to ride whatever the weather, whatever the cost and whatever the consequences.
