Reading about math

This is a well written, humorous book about mathematical ideas. It is not necessarily a teaching tool but if you have a young person who is fascinated by math this is a good one. It is written FOR young people, not adults, altho adults can enjoy it as I did. It is not a textbook although someone could turn it into one. I wouldn't. I like it as reading material for the inquisitive.

I ordered this and another from the UK after hearing about it from some homeschooling groups. These books are an excellent way to teach math skills in a fun way. My kids love flipping through the pages to find new "tricks" without even realizing they are learning math. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their children interested in learning math without constant drilling and boring worksheets.
