Impressive advice and relevant how-to book on blk youths

very scholarly but yet down to earth. Great examples of what has worked in the past on black youth that cannot be placed on the same educational system as white youth. Indeed the workings of the young black minds and hearts are unique to all the other races. If we apply some of these proven formulas in more schools and in all cities we will finally have brought up an entire generation of productive, positive, happy Black Americans which will benefit us all.

Mincy's book was an extraordinary piece of work. I have never read anything so indepth and inspiring about the plight of young African American Men. Working with children in the system, this book certainly encouraged my heart. Educators, Mental Health Practitioners and Parents nationwide should own this wonderful inspiring book.
