Oddkins are special stuffed animals come to life bringing goodness & light to children's lives. Their toy maker unfortunately dies & it's their job to make the journey to the new toy makers shop. Along the way they are pursued by an evil gang of toys that want to rip the stuffing out of them so they can take over and spread darkness & torment children. The battle between good & evil ensues. Great illustrations and story

I have read this book to my 4th. grade class for the last 11 years...... I have tryed to make up a different voice for each the main characters.... We have even put on a school-play based on the part of the book that takes place in the department store....the kids love getting dressed up in the costumes that I had made up ..... I love when kids come back( who are now in college /high school) and ask if I still read the story of the Oddkins....

I find the Oddkins the most wonderful fable EVER. The plot is so intricatley woven it amazes me. I love the story, and aslo the beautiful pictures. I begged and begged, and my father bought it for me. I enjoy it every time I read it. This is a must-read.
Absolutely Incredible

Whether you are an adult in the workforce or an 11-year old child, this book is a must read. Dean Koontz, who normally doesn't write children's literature, has created an abosultely incredible book. This is a book which parents should read to their children. My mother read it to me when it came out, and I loved the story then as much as I do now. She still reads it to her fifth grade class, and they love it. Truly, this is one of the best written books I have ever read.

I purchased this in hardback several years to go in my sons' Easter Basket. Never realizing what I had, I was attracted to the wonderful artwork! I read it before Easter. I have since purchased Santa's Twin - it is great also.
