I loved this book! It's amazing how a city so righteous can exist in a world that is so terribly evil. I enjoyed the passages and quotes that Neal A. Maxwell has put in the appendix for suggested reading. The book is a thought provoking but fun read!
A true gem

This is a wonderful book, providing an fictional but very believable account from Zion, the city of Enoch. Elder Maxwell writes with his usual eloquence and employs a style worthy of writers of ancient documents, which give the account a feel of authenticity. He has skillfully woven principles of the gospel into Mahijah's letters as well as the fundamentals of the Plan of Salvation. They are presented on a personal level and provide a wonderful outline of what society ought to look like. They also show that embracing and living the gospel is an ongoing process, but as long as one persists and remains a true follower, he or she will grow unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Eph. 4:13). The book is a true gem and I highly recommend it.
