Cozy Mystery

This is a cozy mystery, and the first book in A Jane Doe Book Club Mystery series. I found that this book did not hold my attention. I did find parts of this book to be a good, but I think I had trouble with the writing style of this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Murder Mystery that will keep you guessing till the end!

Lyla and her best friend, Melanie, are a part of a book club of women in a small mountain town in Georgia. The book club calls itself the Jane Does. The club reads mystery books and each of the members thrives on solving crimes. One day one of the members turns up dead. If that is not bad enough her remains are crammed into a suitcase and put on the doorstep of Lyla’s home. This book had me guessing every step of the way through it. Just as I thought I knew who the killer was I was given another little clue making me second guess myself. I honestly was completely shocked at who had killed the jane Doe club member. This book was an exciting, entertaining, and well-written novel. I wish I had a club like the Jane Does around here to join - they seem like a fun bunch of ladies. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series - Reading Between the Crimes.
