I been looking forward to reading this book and this series of HEROINES OF WW11 . And I enjoyed the story the characters are telling me too

On My Honor by Patty Smith Hall is the eighth book in the multi-author Heroines of WWll series. Ginny Mathis is the leader of her younger sisters’ Girl Scout Troop. The girls keep a look-out for suspicious activity along the coast of their small North Carolina island. Ginny helps the girls deal with the life lessons thrust upon them during a time of war. I enjoyed the camaraderie and friendship of this small band of girls. There was a small amount of suspense through-out the story; with a sweet romance for Ginny.

Ginny and Belle Mathis are sisters trying to live productive lives during World War 2, on the Outer Banks. Ginny has been summoned home to help care for her mother and her younger sister Belle. Ginny had been attending school, to become a nurse. Ginny works two jobs at home and has also adopted a local Girl Scouts troop, to help encourage the young girls to excel.
Tim Elliot is a reporter with a secretive past, who washes up on the beach near the Mathis home. He is injured and needs medical help. What he gets is the lively Girl Scouts troop.
Ginny and Tim and the troopers all join together to solve a mystery.
This is a great book, it gives another angle of WW2 that not everyone may realize. All of the #HeroinesofWorldWarII series books are stand-alone and may be read in any order. I have read many of them.
Highly recommend. I was a Girl Scout, I'll confess, we never had as many adventures as these girls did.
