In 1950, Krishnamurti said: "If we are concerned with our own lives, if we understand our relationship with others, we will have created a new society; otherwise, we will but perpetuate the present chaotic mess and confusion." Providing a far-reaching basis for solving many of the world's crises, On Relationship brings together Krishnamurti's most essential teachings on the individual's relationship to other people and institutions. The renowned teacher makes clear that the way we handle personal crises and relationships links us to the problems of all people and has a larger, global meaning. Ending the causes of war, for instance, cannot truly begin until we perform simple, but often ignored, tasks such as reconciling with estranged family members, keeping our homes in order, and respecting others.
This is a real gem that elucidates Krishanurti's thinking on relationship

This book made up of various lectures given in different places at different times describes Krishnamurti's thoughts on relationship. It is a decent introduction to his thought, but it does a great job of illuminating his thoughts on the importance of not letting conditioning get in the way of seeing who is really in front of you in the moment. There is a lot of repitition in this book. However, this is a good thing because it covers the territory of relationship from many angles and this will help you to understand and learn the concepts which may be new to some people. I recommend this book as a good introduction to Krishnamurti for curious readers who are interested in something directly relevant to their everyday life. It will help you to look at relationship in new ways and this will certainly help you to get unstuck from unhealthy patterns or ways of being in relationship through choiceless awareness. While Krishanmurti does not offer specific methods, he does provide a useful framework for thinking about relationship. This book is highly accessible and contains many beautiful analogies and quotes.
