The author has a very engaging style and shares with the reader her boundless thirst for discovery. It seems that she got all kinds of people to do things for her, because her presence is a treat for almost everybody she meets. Most of all I loved her unbridled courage in her attempt to climb a forbidding peak, and after many years I bought the book (Whose two copies I had passed on) again, mainly to experience again how this strongwilled beauty stood up against sea- soned climbers - and won! No wonder that one finds out how this in- destructible woman went on to climb all the highest peaks of each continent. Wish the cover came as a poster, or I could attend one of her presentations. May she be an inspiration to millions! Hanns Streuli, Lake Placid
