Soooooo, It was Alex!

Another great book by Ms Emery. Alex and Lanessa, who would have thought he would have tried yet again to gain Lanessa's heart totally. I guess Lanessa had to tackle some of her problems before she could totally give heart to Alex. I'd call Alex a very patient man, because he waited a very long time to have Lanessa in his life. I loved the whole story line. Ms Emery again shows us of a town with a social cast system that will get on anyone's nerves. And of course it was nice to have a update on Damon and Jade. Much love Ms Emery!

This is one which I'll re-read more than once. Ms. Emery handled the problem which confronted the heroine with finesse and compassion. The friendshp between the three friends was great. The romance was well developed. I originally brought this book because of the two reviews I'd read online. But I'm going to save yall a lot of money (I wish someone had done it for me). Just because Ms. Emery lucked up and gave us a good one with this - don't be like me and go out and buy her others; After All, Sweet Mystery, Night Magic, Tender Touch and A Time to Love. Don'5 and I do mean Don't buy any of her other books, unless you like mystery with minimal (null and void romance).
The characters stay with you, I couldn't put it down.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were believable. The love between Lanessa and Alex was so precious. I was hoping all through the book that they could make their relationship work. I was also pulling for Lanessa and hoping that she would not lose sight of her goal and beat the problem that she had. I hope Lynn Emery and other authors will continue to write stories that are close the everyday life and believable.

Alex and Lanessa had both loved each other madly. However, Lanessa had lied and used him until he had walked out. Now that Lanessa was booze free, all she wanted was to tell him how sorry she was. Alex had never gotten over Lanessa and, now that she was better, he wanted a second chance with her. It would take a lot to learn to trust her again. But he figured she was worth the shot. *** I could not put this book down! It is as addictive as opium and I was stuck to it like Super Glue! I cannot recommend this story highly enough.
