...YOU'RE WRONG. This book was excellently written and drawn and kept me in suspense for every single page! It picks up where vol. 1 ended with Nami, the pirate robber, asking Luffy, the wannabe pirate, to join with her. He refuses, but that doesn't help his situation much. Buggy the Clown's men still think that Luffy is Nami's boss thanks to one of Nami's little lies at the ending of vol.1. Luffy is apprehended and locked in a cage. Nami tries to infiltrate Buggy's group but fails after she doesn't kill Luffy. Meanwhile Roronoa Zoro comes to the rescue, and saves Luffy, but is injured by Buggy, who has eaten of the gum gum fruit and has special powers of his own, like Luffy. However, after escaping momentarily, fighting is inevitable, but who will win now that Zoro is hurt?!?!? Also in this book are other new characters such as a dog who defends his dead master's pet shop-quite a moving scene, actually; the mayor of the town, and buggy's first and second mates-one a lion tamer and the other a gymnast with swords skills to rival-almost, that is-Zoro's skills. The only complaint i had with this manga was seeing the to be continued words and knowing the book had came to a close. Until vol. 3!!!! (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

Well from all of these other reviews, I am sure you must know what happens in this volume of "One Piece". I'm just here as a cheerleader (^.^)! This series, whether in anime or manga form is simply too "cute" (excuse the girl-phrase). Luffy can't be more than sixteen years old, Zoro is maybe twenty-five, and Nami is maybe seventeen. So why are these kids pirates? Beats me!Oh, except that Red-haired Shanks, a very laid back pirate & child-Luffy's hero, bestowed his very country-looking hat on the young pirate-wannabe (who, for some reason, got the bright idea to stab himself in the face to prove he was pirate material: dum de dum DUMB. Hence the -|-|- mark on Luffy's cheek). And that Zoro was saved by Luffy when he was caught for being a PIRATE HUNTER(!) and his THREE swords- which he treats like babies when he is not sleeping himself- were taken away. And when Nami, who hates, steals from, and has a MAJOR grudge against pirates was floored when she discovered Luffy's, um, PECULIAR traits (hey you try stretching your arm a couple of miles -_-"!) against the "sea-clown"/Buggy.But you'll find all that out in the manga starting from Volume #1 on. Trust me: this series only seems to get better, adding tons of humor, crazy hijinks, absurd action scenes, and truly memorable characters to an already rollicking plot. After all, what other pirate ship do you know that has a skeleton and crossbones topped with a goofy hat and a grin? 'Nough said!
The adventure continues.

I really enjoyed the excellent first One Piece manga, so of course I had to read this one! Where the story left off is continued here, and theres even more action than before. This is a very fun book to read, and its one of the best manga series of all time. Its sold over thirty million copies in Japan! I cant wait to read part three of this awesome manga. Read this, but read part one first.
More rollicking adventures

"One Piece: Volume 2 - Buggy the Clown" continues the hilarious story of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew of misfits. This time, Nami the Pirate Thief joins the crew, so long as Monkey can liberate her stolen map of the Grand Line from the dangerous pirate Buggy and his crew of circus themed pirates.Nami is a great addition to the crew, providing a more moralistic compass for Luffy and Zoro, although she is ruthless in her own way. Like Zoro, she hates pirates yet finds her self unable to resist Luffy's innocent charm and convictions. However, unlike both Zoro and Luffy, she knows how to navigate a ship. The pirate crew is shaping up!Volume 2 has an excellent dual between Zoro and Buggy's swordmaster, the acrobat, as well as some great gum-gum action in a fight between Luffy and Buggy, who has also eaten a Fruit of the Devil. There is some nice melancholy pathos in the form of the Mayor, trying to restore his town, and a loyal pooch. Here's to more High Adventure with the One Piece crew! Keep it coming!
