My son has loved this book this book as well as Only One Ollie since he was 9 months old. He requested to hear them over and over again - it doesn't hurt that his name is Ollie so he readily identifies with the main character. Now that he's a big brother, he is "reading" both Ollie books to his baby brother.

The Ollie books are among my 2-1/2 year old daughter's favorites, and we love reading them to her. The simple stories teach basic premises like counting and opposites. The characters are easy to relate to, and the world looks like it would to a toddler - only with more color! The illustrations are terrific; bright and bold but not overwhelming. An added plus: these sturdy board books are small enough to tuck into a diaper bag for emergency distractions.
