Lots of facts and information about the various participants in the war: the US government (Democrats and Republicans), the Iraqi regime, the Israelis, the Palestinians, western European nations, the USSR. Tells not only why the Iraqis didn't fight but why the US didn't win anything. Read the section on the "Vietnam Syndrome"--it's excellent. Read about how communist workers, who opposed the war, boldly stood and told the truth in the face of the superpatriotic fervor of the time.
