Organization Development at Work --a title in The Practicing OD Series--is a collection of conversations among leaders, practitioners, and educators in the organization development (OD) field.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
When I first started reading this book, I so hooked myself on its contents that I didn't stop reading until two hours later, when I finished it. I continue to dip into this anthology from time to time, and no matter where I open it, I always find something that moves me into a reflective space about how I work and what I believe as a consultant. As an experienced practitioner, I really value this ready access to the current views and beliefs of such a large and diverse group of peers. The authors' chosen style, compelling virtual conversation with minimal pontificating, helps me to treat each visit to the book as an opportunity to obtain a range of trusted inputs all at once! This book is a gift to those of us lucky enough to be working in the OD field, and I can imagine the authors or someone else doing a new version every five years or so, as the challenges for organizations and practitioners evolve.
