This book is a perfect resource for history buffs. Has an image of original document, actual text of document and additional information. The selection of the documents is inspired. Some are obvious choices, others would not immediately come to mind to most of us, but really complete the set...

READ THIS BOOK, GET TO KNOW YOUR AMERICA. ONE PAGE AT A TIME OR SKIP AROUND, IT REMINDS US HOW MUCH THOUGHT WENT INTO THOSE "TIRESOME" SPEECHES AND COMMENTARY DOCUMENTS WE HAD TO STUDY IN CLASS. BOY, DOES IT MAKE MORE SENSE NOW THAT I'VE THE WISDOM AND HAVE LIVED THE LIFE THESE DOCUMENTS WERE WRITTEN TO ENHANCE AND PROTECT.

This is a great resource for teachers and students alike. It is also an interesting read. I loved it. The book covers the most important documents in American history with a photo of each document. The wording of the document is posted in an easy print and the history and background of the document is elaborated on. With so many students asked to evaluate documents and write essays on them with additional information, this book can be invaluable.
