A heart-tugging picture book by the author of the Newbery Honor Book Misty of ChincoteagueSometimes it seems that the only thing these twins have in common is Midge, the family's Shetland pony. Joseph... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Henry's stories have a certain 'magic' when it comes to writing about horses. She does it again in this wonderful story about very different twin boys and their first pony. This is more of a book for younger kids but horse lovers of all ages will appriciate it too. It has beautiful pictures, a good balance to the story and Henry's usual realistic, warm and timeless characters. This book is good, clean fun with no scary parts and nothing too intense. If I was a parent or a teacher (I am neither) I would consider this book and excellent choice. Being an aunt, I am sure I will end up reading this again soon!
Fantastic
